When i woke up to go to work today, both my cats were missing from home. I suspect what they did was to push open the window (that we have secured with wire) a few more cm and squeezed their bodies through. Monty the scaredy cat he is was just in the garden but Melly was nowhere to be found. She's bold and like going into people's houses if any door were opened. I'm just worried that someone may decide to keep her and confined her at home. Another of my worry is, we found some stray dogs this morning and putrajaya being the way it is, there's no fencing at all. She's never been missing before because she never was the adventurous type. I've made some leaflets which i will distribute this evening.

Please, please pray for her safe return.

AL dearest, I pray that Melly returns safely and for the whole family to be reunited.
I trully understand how you feel right now. Do stay +ve & alert and keep a look out. Maybe it is their season to go jalan2 as one of our cats also did the same thing 2 weeks ago.

Thanks to everyone who has prayed for Melly's safe return. Sorry lambat update because internet at home was not functioning over the weekend. Thank god we found Melly that evening also after being missing from home for more than 14 hours. We did our rounds distributing fliers to our neighbours and spoke to as many people as possible. One of them told us that he saw a cat fitting Melly's description playing near his backyard. And this house was about a few blocks away from ours.

My hubby persevered and went looking around the empty houses and true enough there popped her head from a manhole! She was really thirsty and hungry and spent the whole evening sleeping. I guessed she must be tired from her adventure. Melly's not streetwise, i shudder to think what could have happened to her had we not found her....it's obvious she didn't know how to find her way home or to look for food or drink.

Now i am pretty paranoid making sure that all windows are secured and if i don't hear her bell tinkling, i'd look for her..anyway i'm soooo glad that she's back with us.
