We found and rescued this Persian-X weak, tired, hungry and dehydrated last Saturday under 1 of the cars in our apartment car park area. Well, he was promptly sent to our vet. When we went to visit him the next day, he was already shaven (with our consent of course). Doc found that not only that he was badly matted, he had A LOT of fleas. The water that came out of rinsing him was dark brown. Yuck!
His tongue is perpetually hanging out 'cause his gums are badly infected. He does not have any teeth on the side and he is at least 3 years old. However, he can eat kibbles. Doc will do a blood test soon.
Poor guy..Although it does not make a difference (in his condition) I hope this guy wasn't abandoned. Perhaps he escaped his home...Perhaps..
Here are some pictures of him, post shave..BTW, he is sooooooo affectionate that it surprised me...His nick name is Grumpy 'cause he grumbled when he was being shaved down..Never did bit the Vet..Good boy, Grumpy !
Ppl, when you can't afford to take care of your pets (for whatever reasons), please do not abandon them !

Well, at 3 yrs of age, it's the permanent teeth that came out!
POOR BOY! I mean, come on!!! Arghh! Sick! Please la kalau dah tak hingin sgt kucing, kasik la kat org, jgn la buang!!!!

And one more thing, if possible, keep your cats indoor la or pasang a good netting at the fence. Kalau dia lari pun takde la sampai jadik like Grumpy! So kesian... 3 yrs old and so small!

I hope his tongue will not permanently stick out like that. Good luck with Grumpy Melissa, hopefully he'll get out of his misery and sickness, and once and for all receives the loves he deserves!
