Unhappy Lost Cat - Bangsar Baru

My cat, Dee, has been missing for a week in the Bangsar Park vicinity. She's a yellowish ginger in colour, and currently undergoing treatment for a sore underneath her tummy. She's wrapped up neatly in a bandage and was last seen in a back lane.

Photos of her can be found at http://porkmeesoup.blogspot.com/200...issing-cat.html (pls use IE)

She's been with me for 6 years and I'm her 2nd owner. She was abandoned and neglected when she first came to me in 2000. Due to the cruelty of her previous owner, she was de-clawed and de-voiced (yes, she doesnt mew. But thank God, her claws have slowly grown back) which makes it even harder to find if she's trapped anywhere because she can't mew.

I've called up & visited all the vets in Bangsar & the surrounding areas as well as the SPCA & PAWS, bt no cat matching her description is there. The Bangsar vet did tell me that my missing cat report was the 3rd that he received that week, as well as a report of a missing Jack Russell terrier - all within the Bangsar area. Is there some kind of cat/dognapping syndicate going on?

I really would appreciate any help or advice that would enable me to take more steps in finding Dee. Please, please help.

Thanks.

Sue

I don't know about cat kidnapping in Bangsar...but those who live around Keramat better careful, cause my neighbour told me that he saw with his own eyes..2 mat motor grab a persian/DLH (can't sure) and put it in gunny.. I believe these guys must be drug addict and sells the poor cat to pet-shop...

anyway, Hope you may find your cat soon..pray for that..

i'm sad to read your post and horrified to learn how Dee had been treated before you got her.
my dog went missing twice - first time for a week and the second time she was gone for 9 weeks - so i can understand how you feel.

don't give up hope, Dee is waiting for you or perhaps she'd find her own way home soon. have you put up posters or distributed flyers with her pic? was Dee wearing a collar with bell? so that even if she can't mew, the bell might alert you.

i hope and pray you two are reunited soon.

But my mom kata, kucing akan tinggalkan rumah kalau dia dah dying..
Dia x nak mati dirumah tuannya..
Dia x nak tuannya bersedih..
Kebetulan kucing saya tu mmg dah tua..

Default She's Back!!!

Yup - she's back!! =) I was leaving my house on Sat evening and as usual i walked around a little and called out her name in the hope that she would somehow hear me - and there she was, under a car!

She crawled out immediately, limping and EXTREMELY thin. However her bandage was taken off and her wound quite clean, considering the fact that she had been gone missing for almost 2 weeks. My guess is someone had been taking care of her, and she managed to escape and come back home. Gave her food and water, and took her to the vet for a checkup - she's dehydrated and exhausted not to mention traumatized (she refuses to leave my room unless i carry her with me), bt with a bit of tlc she should be on the road to recovery soon enough =)

thanks for all the encouraging messages and suggestions - i did carry em out and it really gave me hope to carry on looking =) oh yes i also heard that cats leave their house when they're about to die - but dunno la. old wifes tale maybe? :S

btw eli yes dee has a collar bt doesnt really like to use it. we were pretty lenient about it but i guess not any more
