Thanks horatio

I did think of Kitty... she's a really nice, friendly lady and has a most kind heart. Kitty do have some special discounts from a couple of veterinary clinics in Kuching. She did mention to me when I got the 2 kittens from her early this year.

One thing I would like all pet owners to watch out for is that... for vaccinations, pls check the vaccine date... I've heard that some vets give nearly expiring vaccines at a discounted rate!

Anyway, re: a cat society... it'll be a huge task, especially revenue generation. Perhaps, Kitty's pet shop would be one of the main beneficiary of funds to neuter strays that comes to her... yeah, that's an idea. She even adopts cats from SSPCA, and I believe that Kitty'll take care of them better than SSPCA could.

Hi horatio

Thanks for the link on how to upload photos on the forum. I tried it with my first male bicolor b/w cat at the members galleries. His name is Tuo Tuo (short for Tortilla and in Chinese means 'abundance'). The photo is still under pending approval status.

This weekend, going to help out with my friend's dog show coming up on 5 Jun. She's a committee member of Sarawak Kennel Association (SKA) and is part of the team responsible for the dog handling aspect of the show. There's a practice session this Sunday afternoon so I'll be there to help out with the pooches... should be fun

You have a good weekend!

Default Hi

Hi

welcome to the forum and great to know that u adopted 2 kittens form me. are they ok? you know all my kittens are stray and some were very sick when they came to my place. i try my best to save them and alway worry whether they are fine when they are adopted by people.

yes you are right, we do need to do something to help those stray cats. but the first thing i think now is to neutering them if we can. so i have the same idea with you that is to run a program of raising funs and then to neuter them. i am doing so now if i got stray cats but do need people to help me togather. what do you think?

One of my future plan is to establish a cat society that helps all cats and especially raising funds to subsidize the neutering and spaying of stray cats. It's really sad to see the strays that are sickly, unloved and having to seek food from garbage bins.

I like the concept that the Cat Welfare Society of Singapore has. I wonder whether it would work here... of course with modifications to suit us Malaysians . Any opinions or suggestions?

Btw, how do I post pix of my kitties in the forum?

Hi Kitty

Thanks for enquiring about the 2 adopted kitties from your place. The 5 month old female tortie is very fine - luvs being brushed!! She weighs about 2.5kg now. I call her Fa Fa.

As for the 5 month old male grey tabby color - he's not as strong... was having bit of eye discharge 2-3 weeks ago but better after taking medication. Then, when I brought him for another checkup a week plus ago, he got gingivitis (bleeding gums).

But now much better after cleaning his teeth & gums regularly with the solution from the vet. Otherwise, he's a sneaky fella ... likes to play with anything! He weighs about 2.6kg now. I call him Cai Cai.

I'll be sending them for neutering in a month's time.

Yeah, we should sit down and discuss about how to go about fund raising for the neutering of the strays. I'll drop by your place one of these days and we'll see it goes.

You'll know me when you see me, heheh... I got two nice scratching posts, a cat house (the padded cloth type) plus quite a number of cat clumping litter from you.

Ok... I'll try to attach my first male bicolor cat here for you all to view. The other 3, I'll attach another time. Here's Tuo Tuo...
