hye welcome
kalau nak dapatkan kucing u kena consider -budget nak kena budget from rm300 sampai beribu, yg mana u mampu, u beli kena la puas hati, jgn masa dia baby je u suka lepas dia dah besar dia dah tak cute dah,, so kena pk jugak -self preparation sanggup ke u nak jaga makan minum, berak, vet? semua ni memerlukan pengorbanan.. pasal breed lak kalau u tak penah ader experience, i nasihatkan u amek local or domestic cat.. sebab derang ni tak banyak songeh n mentenn.. kalau u dah biasa dengan kucing so u leh la pelihara mana mana breed biasa org amek persian or DLH ... i ni tak pandai sangat... maybe orang lain boleh bagi pendapat p/s: some of the forummer ader jual kitten.. ![]() |

Its all depend on you and your budget....
Non pedegree = persian X normally ( below 1K ) or you might get it free if you are lucky Pedegree = all kind of breed ( usually RM1800 above ) ![]()

hi niko
welcome... though i'm pretty new here in dis forum. i have 4 local cats, all adopted from pet shops. as rozita2000 says, it's a long term commitment dats needs lotsa TLC. i plan to get pedigree cats in the future, maybe a mainecoon and american curl. persians especially flat face requires quite a fair bit of cleaning particularly the eye areas as they tear often. the long hair cats also need more brushing on a regular basis. shorthair breeds are easier to maintain. so you hv to decide based on your budget and commitment level. a word of warning... all kittens are CUTE! so you'll tend to fall in luv with all of 'em ![]() |

Hi Niko,
Welcome to the forum. When choosing a breed of cat, one must also consider the breed's general temparent n requirements before finalize to take one. Some breeds r kinda vocal n constantly need human presence, some may need constant grooming (long hairs) etc. Juz one more point, it is recommended to see the cat 1st before deciding whether to pick the cat up. n yes, there r some forumers here do hv cats for adoption (money involve). U can always check the Buy & Sell of Cat & Kitty section. Shud u hv more queries, juz ask us or do a Search in this forum. Good luck...

Well, so many people'd given so many good advise, here's my addition and sharing of experience
![]() There's many poor abandoned/stray cats. If you're looking for non-pedigree cats, my suggestion is to go to PAWs or SPCA to get them. If you could afford it and you're not home most of the time, get a pair (so they can play with each other). And please consider financial commitments - having a cat means providing food (for me I'd have to spend about RM40.00 a month), cat litter (feline pine 1 pack/month, get from jusco RM19.90 a month), toys, vet visit (so far my cat's medex had cost me around RM500.00 - for vaccination/check up/treatment/spay), babysitter/boarding (I travel a bit - cost me RM700.00 in total to put her up with the vet's boarding facility).. It's just an example - I was blur sotong when i first got my cat, but I decided that I love her and would provide the best I can for her well being and so far, I'm quite an OK owner (have been a proud neutered DLH owner for 6 months now) Truth be told, it's the other way around - Kitty owns me now ![]() So think carefully, and good luck!!
