Dear Kitten.com.my forumers,
Greetings ! I am new and just joined today while visiting spca.org.my. Did not know that there is a forum on cats in Malaysia and I am glad that I have found it. Hope to meet and get to know the cat lovers around here and also to be able to share and learn with other forumers here. To start with, I have 2 female cats, name Baby and Bubbles. Baby is 2 yrs and Bubs is one and a half years old. Both are darlings of my life. ![]() |

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am kinda new here and hope to learn a few tricks here and there. How many cats do you have ? Are they pedigree ? I am more of a dog person and was afraid of cats before fate brings me to my first kitten, Mr Wrigley. The story is like this. I got home one day in July 2002 and heard meaws/ cries at the letter box below my apartment and I went to check it out. This poor kitten, the size of an adult mouse was barely able to walk and was crawling until it landed on my foot. I was like immobilized for a while cos I was so afraid to even hold it. You know, the size so small and kinda 'geli" at first. But looking at the poor thing, I braved myself to hold and carry it back to my house. I started to nurse and bring him to the vet. I name him Mr Wrigley because he kept wriggling when I tried to feed him. I even brought him to the office to feed him regularly. But Mr Wrigley is destined to be in cat heaven cos after 12 days, he died. He was frail and wasn't feeding very well and developed this eye disease which I later suspected it to be some kind of virus, blabla. I was distraughted, of course. 4 days after he died, I found or to be precise, my colleague found a kitten in the office parking lot and gave it to me because I told her earlier that I have lost my Mr Wrigley. This cute little fur ball is chubby, grey and polka dotted tummy. Eee very cute. About 3 - 4 weeks old. So I took her in. With careful nursing and feeding, and with each passing day I can see that she is growing, it gave me a great feeling. I was determined not to repeat the same fate as Mr Wrigley and took extra precautions to make sure that this little fur ball, which I named her Scratchy (cos she scratches a lot) have the best care. I even follow the superstitious thing about taking her pics. They say if I take her pics, she will die. I only took her pics after she is like 6 months old and that time I was sure that she is healthy cat. I took her to the office the first month to feed her regularly (every 2 hours!). The good thing about her is whilst I fed her every 2 hours in the day time till evening, she will not make noise right after 11 pm when I gave her the last feeding until the next morning at 6 am. She is like know that between that time, it's her mommy's sleeping time ! So cute. Even though her name is Scratchy, I've been calling her Baby since she was young cos she's my adorable baby cat and I sayang her very much to the extend spoiling her. She has got a very wild temper. About 8 months after I got Baby, I had a visitor, a kitten ! I didn't want to keep this kitten at first cos I already had Baby and she is a handful. But this little thin kitten put up a night at my door, I have no heart to turn it away. So I kept this little fella which I named Bubbles. She was like 4-5 weeks old but thin. I repeated the same process of taking care of her and feeding her good food. Now she is fat ! This is my history of cats rearing. There are more but I don't wish to bore you with this lengthy stuff. Do tell me about your experience with your kittys. Somehow or other, people with cats tend to have been "hynotized" by them with their magic or whatever it is. I find that with their presence in my life, it has changed me a lot. I wonder if it is the same with you and the other cats lovers. |
