Default jasper, my little masseur

hi,
have been much intrigued by the behaviour of our latest addition to the household - Jasper, a Siamese-mixed aged about 4 months old.
he would jump onto my lap or my housemate's and after a while, move his front paws on our stomachs in a manner that is best described as walking on the spot. the end result is a kneading feeling like u get in a massage!
the first time he did it, i wanted to name him MJ for michael jackson! i thot it was like the moonwalk!
Jasper is still too light to actually make a noticeable difference to our anatomy when he does his "kneading massage" so i hope he puts on some weight!
also, one night i was lying on my stomach and he kneaded my back!
does anyone have a similar experience?

Ha ha ha. We share the same thing eli, only that my cat prefer to massage me on my throat! He would jump on my chest whenever I lay down watching tv or napping and do that thing!

Default Quite common in Kittens

If you have a close look at kittens when they are nursing, they tend to do that to their mum's bellies. like trying to perah more juice. They do tend to outgrow it though.

I noticed 2 of my kittens in the past and present, when surprised would puff out their fur and do a crab walk thing. Any one experience this with their cats?

oh yes, jasper does that too! and he's often pouncing on tommy (our first and oldest cat) to wrestle with him. quite fun to watch
and bec we got him off the streets, i think he's still finding the house very interesting with so many nooks and corners to explore.
one morning i found him sleeping on my bathroom scale - i think the indicator barely moved! unlike when I'm on it!

Default Puff Crab Kittens

Rozita,

Do you notice that look on their face? Very serious feline features when they do that Puff Crab thing. Heh heh, a great source of amusement.

The name Jasper does already leave an impression of a pretty neat cat in the household, eli. Looking forward to some pictures and if the scanner still turns out instructions in Spanish, I think you'll have to check the user preferences out and see if there's an option for English. Otherwise, re-install la.

Urm...the puff crab, noticed it everytime they wake up from sleep or the occasional sleep position change. This happens just for a couple of seconds though. Yet to see anyone of them actually maintaining that position and tip toeing around.

Yeah, they still do their kneading on us humans every now and then but the ones that weigh 5kg and above can be a bit of a breath stopper when they do that when you're sleeping cos they don't walk up, they just land on your belly from god knows flying from where.

Cheers,

wooz.....
