I am Laurence Peverill. I am here because my cat has passed away and I thought the family could do with someone new to fill the gap. Our candle was nine years old when he went and was given to me when he was a kitten. He was a great joy to us and we were luchy to have him All those years. I am looking to adopt another cat but here in Sabah it is not so easy as we have no organization that handles unwanted cats or dogs. Thank you all for you kindness. I am sure to enjoy it here. I would like to get to know your members here in Sabah. I might even be able to set up an animal rescue here in Kota Marudu as there are plenty of stay cats in town. All I have to learn is how to go about it.
I have two dogs that I adopted from puppy.com. We had them flown in from west malaysia. It was a bit of a hassle but they are good watch dogs even if they are only local dogs. Well thanks again guys

You guys have given me an idea!!! Since people are always dumping cats in the market tonight after class I am going to go check it out and I might just find me a cat. The market here has quite a few street cats and maybe I can give one a home.

That's a very good idea, Peve n so noble u r. Anyway, just remember to give the cat a thorough bath & deworming shud u decided to take him/her. Perhaps u might to quarantine this little fellow fr ur other cats (shud u hv) for a short time of period till he/she had been necessary vaccinated.

Well guys I went round town. I found about seven strays but they didn't think much of an orang putih wanting to make friends with them. I think they thought I was kind of crazy and I was only able to touch a big black male. I think if any ristrictions were put on him he would sink his teeth into the nearest thing, which by the way would be me. Dumpsters are the best place to find stray cats if anyone is interested but I don't think many of these cats will come peacefully. Anyway the search continues.

well, strays don't come easily. they don't really react well with humans. all they want is food n staying alive (n mate of course). i guessed u wud need to bring a cage with u n some meat. hope this trick helps.

p/s: oh yeah, if u wanna protect urself fr scratches or bites, u could wear gloves...
