Smile Hi!! Glad to be here!

Hi! I'm Faieza, currently residing in KL! I accidently found out this forum when I was looking for Malaysian Persian/Himalayan/Exotic breeder. All because of extensive googling

Anyway, I've never been loving cats all my life... it was all started 8 years ago when I fell in love with this super cute kitten, persian cross-breed. It has the fur of a persian, big eyes, only the face not as flat... but I love him unconditionally!!I bought him for MYR200 from a very cruel breeder at my hometown. I can't explain how bad the conditions of the place. It's like cat's hell

Anyway, when I first got Bob (the kitty), he was very timid, angry and so not friendly. He willa ctually bite you! And another thing is he was soooooo smelly! I thought it was because of the condition of his fur+pooh or what... but later when I do some inspection on his feet, it was horrible. There were cuts and blood... the fur under the feet is all gone... I can even see a white bone! I was so shocked! No wonder he was so angry and unhappy! So I cleaned it up and bring him to the local vet. He said it was due to hot surfaces that the cat had to live in, the germs and bacteria and the fact he was only a baby!!!

After a while the cuts healed nicely. And the fur grew back. He became friendlier eventhough he is not a lap cat at all He was my best friend, my confidante, my better half. He listens to my woos, my tears, my happiness and all. Now he's no longer with me, he moved on 3 years back to a better world, or should I say to cat's heaven!

Until now I don't have a cat of my own. I took care a few of them but I always return them back to the owner. It was more like doing them a favor or even maybe to myself. But now, I am so looking forward to have a new kitty to call my own. I'm looking for a purebreed persian/himalayan/LH Exotic. Still looking for the purrfect kitty, at least purrfect at my eyes! Thinking of being a breeder one sweet day. Hopefully, I can meet new friends here that share my love for cats

Thumbs up

faieza,

Welcome to this forum.

Hav you ever thot of getting a cat fr spca? They have a lot of cats even not pure bred but still beautiful and friendly and adorable. Love needs no pedigree. I am trying to tell as many ppl as possible to really consider cats or even dogs fr spca. The saddest thing is if animals at the shelter are not adopted, they will be put to sleep. Save a life there. Or two. I am sure you won't be dissappointed. check it out man !

Hi Josie,

Yeah I heard about SPCA... been there before. I'm checking it from time to time. But it was sad there. It's like, all the stray cats, unwanted cats were the result of irresponsible human. Most of the cats were put to sleep right? If nobody comes and adopt them... sigh...

I seriously think that if you going to cat and you do not plan to be a serious breeder, you might as well spayed/neutered them. Bob was neutered and I didn't regret it one second. Some ppl may disagree with me but all the strays came from there. You can't take care of so many cats, it's not love anymore, it's cruel and selfish. I've seen it before, you can't even feed them properly, it's gonna cost you too much. If that happens, where's the love we've been talking about?

And just because your cat is a male, it doesnt mean that you dont have to neutered it. It'll go find someone's female cat, and it'll end the same. And dont think that just because you dont throw it somewhere and put it at SPCA, it's a right thing to do.

Well, that's just my opinion. Whatever it is, I agree to one of the forumer tag, prevention is better than cure

you r rite faieza n i'm sure others too but it can be very frustrating when it comes to educating people about this matter and they tend to just give that kind of look.....i give you 1 example.....my relatives loves cats, but when it comes to having them spayed, they'll say its cruelty to animal.....you know 'kesian, diorang pun nak hidup jugak'.....i'm all out when it comes to spaying and i'm also not against people that breed their cats as long as they are responsible owners and could cope with the amount of cats they have, and also they must be able to support the welfare and give enough TLC if they were to have loads of cats......

SPCA is one place i've been and even adopted a persian there 8 years back and she's still alive and happy living with my other 7 cats......if u think going to SPCA makes you sad, try view PAWS at Subang, u'll feel worst...it might make you wanna bring all the cats and dogs home!!!

Default Persian kitten at PAWS

Hi Faeiza

There are 3 persians at PAWS when i was there recently - 2 doll face and 1 flat face. All have long hair but not well-groomed. You can always drop by and check if any of them fits your purrfect cat.

welcome to the forum!

Hi Faeiza,
Welcome to the group. I knew u will enjoy ur stay here. What Josie and Ita said is right. Love needs no pedigree. Cats r still cats but then again why not we help those cats which really, really, really need love and a home. Pedigrees have no problem getting homes but how about domestics? Anyway, I m in no position to ask anyone not to buy pedigree coz the decision is made by that person and I could only advise.

If you knew you could save a soul, why don't you do it?

Oh ya.. for starters, one forumer here called Fariz had recently saved a kitten whom took shelter under a car on a rainy day. He is now asking for fellow forumers to adopt this cute little kitten coz he already got 3 cats.

check his post here : http://www.kitten.com.my/forum/showthread.php?t=464

Pls help if you could...

P/s:we r organizing a bbq party on New Year's eve at one of the forumer's place at Mutiara Damansara. SHould u hv nothing much to do or place to go, pls do join us. send a PM (as short for Private Message) to me should u want join. (Just left click my name Horatio n a small box will appear, there is an option say Send private message....)
