yes Jay.....I've been thinking if I will move again I definitely will be so tempted to make a "winter room" which keeps the temperature down to at least 5 degree all-time...........of course a big electricity bill to pay and ordinary AC simply cannot achieve that..........needs some frozen technologies..........

crazy idea but once it's done, gosh only God knows what kind of coat will come out at the end.............

I can spot similarities also......but funny enough Dutchman's pedigree is rather remote from Truls av Bolke................almost kinda unrelated..........

How about Draebar's mum in non-winter coat? I may be very wrong, but I'd tip she was quite young in the pic, which would help.

True - buit it'd be interesting to do an inbreeding coefficient on them and see how closely they tie in way back.

Hmmmmmmmm. May you win a lottery. I'd say permanent 6 degrees wouldn't be too good for them.......most of the the NFO I know of in Norway/Sweden spend a hell of a lot of time indoors and last (northern hemisphere) Spring in Sweden I developed heat rash from the overheated homes! Those coated cats just cope with it. It possibly also helps to be born at the right time of year, I think..at least, for the kitten coat to be impressive.

Else Nylund has a very firm view on coat - just about as firm as my mum's on British coats. It's in the pedigree! One of the top coats I've seen on a Brit was on a neuter in KL - came from Mum's lines. Would make 99.999% of Brit breeders jaws drop to their kneecaps. OK - cheating - a neuter, and he DID live inside with ceiling fans, but still.

Raymond Saetre's (av Hulder) cats all live inside in wear-only-shirtsleeves-rolled-up heating but5 boy, do some of them have coats! One in particular he says has too much undercoat (and I tend to agree).

Sure, you could enhance slightly and maintain better in a permanent lower temperature, but I can't help but wonder whether the investment would pay off! See what happens with Rasmine - she comes from a 'coat' pedigree. You may just find that all is well without playing polar ice caps..

Why thankyou, sir! My 'secret' is very simple. a) I'm genuinely interested in my 'craft' - cats and judging; b) I'm interested in the breed (after all, I was there at the FIFe GA in '77 when Oz voted for them!) and c) I'm obsessed with pedigrees and history of cats in general. And, as I said, I might forget to take my shopping list to the supermarket but I remember cats years on!

I do have something to confess...........(sign)........the "Antonio vs Lee Simon" thing could happen again this year ("could"), if:

(1) Ice Dive was there (he was supposed to, right?)
(2) the best Kitten in the Banquet show, the Somali, was born 6 months earlier............

Mind you, the Somali, Blue Scorpion (who I was agenting for in the July KL show) got two finals in the past September show in HK as a bloody OPEN out of so many Champions and Grand Champions and he even made one BEST CAT in one of the rings (as OPEN, man!!!)...........imagine if he was showing as Champion, or even Grand Champion he would swipe many others like a bowling ball.......

He definitely will make ONE-SHOW-GRAND in the upcoming HK November show and he defintely will turn up in the Micatz'07 show...........

Oh gosh I have seen three shows in Asia in this season so far the only "superstars" in championship I think are Ice Dive and Blue Scorpion, and if they were showing at the same time I can say for sure these two boys would be doing exactly the same thing Antonio and Lee Simon were doing last year..........

That's what I call exciting.........and we need that in the cat fancy.......a lot of sweat and heartbeat...........

Likewise it wud be silly me to breed NFO to compete with you. I think we are already handful doing our own breed.

Yes, Ice Dive will be a tough competitor to a lot of cats shown in Asia going for the DW top placing but we decided not to show him bcoz we just wanted to take a break & moreover he had proven how strong a competitor he is in the 2 shows in HK in April ’07, after all he is already a RW.

Yeah! It wud hv been exciting to hv another round of Lee Simon vs Antonio type of race which definitely will make showing more fun & exciting, not to forget also a great damage for our pocket.

You hv to admit it was 1 of the most memorable show of your life & definitely Lee Simon did give you a run for your money. hahaha….. Hope we will hv tht day again.
