Hi everyone,
I'm new. Stumbled onto this forum by chance when I was looking for a cat flap. My cat has developed this habit of meowing loudly outside my bedroom door in the middle of the night asking to be let in (can't leave the door open as air con would go out). Anyway, am happy to know such a forum exists. Look forward to chats later. |

Hi Bina:
my cat is a male, name is Blackie. hee hee, owner adopting his name. I think you're right - he thinks it's his room! Or maybe he thinks he wants to exchange room with me! His room is smaller, and with all the cat furniture, and cat bed, I bet he thinks it's not fair I get the larger room. ![]() But hey, you're really patient, opening the door at 3am for your cat to get out and then around 4am for her to get back in. Hi Erin: No, haven't found any cat flaps locally yet. Will let you know if I find one. Such a useful thing when the furry member of the family decides to be nocturnal. |

Hi blackie.... both owner and cat!
You see, we can never really own a cat, it is the other way around, they "own" us! Mine is a female (Lulu) , now pregnant, I am worried sick as it is already day no. 66, still no sign of labour but she is sleeping near her birthing box now. Let's hope she give birth safely soon (today!). BTW, you mentioned cat furniture, do you know where I can get them (not so expensive ones?)?? I am thinking of proper playthings for my cats! Today, my other cat, Tiger, played, dropped and scattered a box of screws, I stepped on it and meow.... it was not very nice! |

Yeah, totally in agreement here - they "own" us. So, how's Lulu now? Hope she's given birth. I think it should be quite alright. Some cats take 69 days before they give birth, I think. Blackie's mum was abandoned when she was about 6 months or so. Her owner put her out in our mail box room. She didn't venture out of the mail room until nearly 2 weeks later. She then started following me to my doorstep and I would feed her when she came a-calling. Anyway, I think she was pregnant for more than 66 days. But unfortunately she died shortly after - crushed by a car in the car park. Blackie and his litter-mate Brownie had not opened their eyes yet, so I took them home. Brownie was not a healthy kitten, was born without opening for urine to pass through and the vet said too young to operate on, could not see his organs. Could only take him to the hospital in UPM on alternate days to extract the urine. Finally had to put him to sleep when he was almost 3 months old. He was suffering - and his belly had started to swell. The vet was concerned that the toxins had spread. So now there's only Blackie, and he's one spoilt but very manja cat. |

Forgot..........I got my cat furniture from Petsmore, Carrefour, Kepong. Lots of cat barang-barang. I think the 3-level furniture was around RM180. Cat bed slightly more expensive. |
