hmm.. tak pe la.. u got iams just use first la. if u wanna change food u gotta do slowly so half way thru u can buy another pack of food and add slowly till he accustomed to the change.. or else there mite be diarrhoea n shedding due to change of food. my cat is a local cat as wel.. calico 6 yr old.. i am changing her food to rc exigent n she loves it which strike me as weird at first cos she's fussy nak mampus... there are other good brands.. artemis, nutro, felidae, basically holistic food like eagle pack n such... what other brands r readily available for u?

Eh Lucy,
Iams is quite good. It's classified as type A cat food. I gave Bob royal Canine last time, though. From what I heard, this type A cat food, example chicken kan, they take the meat je tau.. lemak2, tulang2, kulit2 semer dia tak amik. I even heard that they have their own chicken farm for that purpose.
As for the "fris" and "whis", it's appropriate for the cats la... but health conscious owners might not want to feed the cat wit it cos-- (this one I heard oso la) they take all the chicks part yg dah tak nak la.. cam tulang ke, lemak ke, kulit ke... pastu cam campur tepung lebih la cenggitu...
For me, I'll definitely go for RC. tested and proved very good to my cat. even masa kecik kitten tu bulu cam tak banyak sgt ke aper, bila dah besar cam cantikkk je bulu dia.... (maybe takde kena mengena dgn the food la)
Anyway, as usual, for better quality food u have to forge out more money la.. which comes with the responsibilty of having a cat. tepuk dada tanya selera laaaaaa...

i think of all the names you listed up there, eagle pack je i've seen before, or maybe i wasn't attentive enough; i just bought whatever people suggested to me. eukanuba banyak i nampak, and i think other brands pon cam ade sume. kat kl n uptown cam tak susah sgt nak carik good quality food rasenye. maybe the following pack, i'll get my kitty RC exigent la, as you suggested. Anyone else care to suggest or to okay heartkiel's suggestion?

Hi Lucy, no lah.. bukannya ayam tak leh makan sayang oi... animals byproducts misalannya hati, peparu, rawan, hempedu semua tu ler. sebab ada sesetengah cat food ada organ2 tu. so tak sihat lah utk kucing kita (actually utk kita pun tak sihat jugak...) anyway, teruskan bagi Knight Iams tu sebab aku rasa tak de byproduct dlm tu kot. ko refer lah kat packaging tu ya..

well Lucy, actually ada a few brands in the market what such as Science Diet, Eagle Pack, Walthams, Eukanuba, Back to Basic, Royal Canine etc lah. Play by the ear is good tapi kena pandai2 pilih lah. well, in my opinion, u kena cuba test try lah one product for while b4 determine which one is the best. Kucing aku pun dah switch a few brands now since i found that either they shed too much fur or poses UT danger. now my Casper is having EP n my Wesley is having prescription diet on UT (for the rest of his life..)

I used to give my cats science plan, but they don't like it.mula2 je suka. After 2 weeks, semua taknak mkn.Ambil bau je.Just recently,i switched from s/p to IAMS.It seems they like IAMS,but still worried about them not eating after a month or so.For my FLUTD infected malecats,my vet recommends Waltham Urinary for Feline.
