Just wondering overhere which show is the most preferable?

When I was reading through the net there are so many out there but some are hardly heard here.

BTW didnt anyone here have been to a TICA show? and I just wanna make it clear that are you talking about the SHOW Mechanism or event? Coz if is event is hard to justified.... coz is depend on the affiliated club that organize it...

Hi doink

I'm referring to show mechanism.

More to the technical (eg: cat's judgement, cat's breed profile still the same?, etc).

Not the event itself coz I believe the flow is about the same right.

Thanks all

THis is a bit apples and oranges. I've judged a TICA show in Paris - 650 or so cats (a big one for them, I gather) and attended the 2004 show they ran with the WCC in Houston (from which I'm just home - this time run by CFA) - TICA and CFA are closer in mechanics than other systems, but not identical.

Think we need more specific Q's.

Emmm ok...let say for a British Short Hair. Will CFA and TICA looking at the same criterias for this breed? Like head size, coat, etc.

Or diff organization actually looking at something different. Or they are just the same but only diff is the origin country of the association.

For newbie like me high level is good enough for now.

Thanks

The basics are pretty similar, but I got into a discussion with a breeder of a British-derived breed at the weekend (CFA) and yes, there are differences in the CFA British standard. A slight flat plane is called for on top of head - quite opposite to what is called for by most. Ears are different, too.

Oh, why can't we all get together?????????????

Ok, so basically breed A in CFA may be different than TICA, etc.

Perhaps can download and compare the breed profile from both websites.

yeah, why can't all standard
