Default Mimi - Rest in peace 25 March 2008

Dear friends,
Some of you might have already read the sad news of the passing of my beloved Mimi - The Survivor under the Health thread. She continued to fight for months after being diagnosed with multiple organ shutdown. She went through healthy and sick periods over and over again but we persevered taking care of her, giving her all the love and care any person could possibly give. She made so many friends at the pet clinic and curious people around Right Angle, PJ. She also made friends with so many on Cat Forum.
We hesitated to go on our vacation beginning of March 08 but with the good care and love shown by all at the clinic, we ended up going away for 2 weeks.
Miraculously during the 2 weeks Mimi made almost full recovery, walking and even running around the clinic, ate food by herself and showed no sign of her illnesses.
When we returned home on the 23rd, she was affectionately walking by us all the time, probably missing us the 2 weeks we were away.
Nobody could have foreseen that she must have fought so hard to stay alive for 2 weeks and waited for us to return home, to meet us for the last time before heaving her last breath.
Within 24 hours back in our arms, Mimi deteriorated so fast that it took us by shock. Early in the morning she could walk, by the afternoon she could not even stand, by evening she was almost paralysed.
The next morning 25th, I sent Mimi back to the clinic. Everyone was shocked to see her condition. It was emergency response action taken by the clinic. I left to go to work and by 3pm received a phone call from the clinic with news that I was hoping never to hear about Mimi.
Mimi fought hard to live, she wanted to have a full life but knew it was impossible. She survived a full 4 months after her organ failure. She defied death by waiting for us to return home from our vacation. Mimi will be with us forever in our hearts and mind.
We all missed her - Din, Asmawie, Tommy, Johnny, Julie, JJ, Tom, Smoky and Jerry plus all at Right Angle PJ.

Be strong my friend. Life is never fair. But, do move on and shower your undivided attention to the ones or maybe somewhere and somehow a new kitten that will bound to meet you. My condolence for your lost. R.I.P Mimi..we all will miss you.

My Milky might resemble your Mimi, but again, love ones are not replaceable.

TC and live well.

I've been walking in your shoes and i could relate well to your pain. Even my late Aristotle had left us few months ago due to FIP and i have a new kitty at home, he is irreplaceable. Thou Mimi lived a short life but no doubt she had treasured a remarkable journey when she met you and your family. She might have gone forever but the legacies of her courage and strength live on. I'm sorry to hear about her demise. May God bestow you with patience and strength to pass this thru.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You did your best for Mimi and you never gave up hoping for Mimi to get well however, God loves Mimi more. I am sure Mimi is now happy as she is no longer suffering.

I know how it is to lose a family pet but you must be strong. Take care.

Mimi was your sweet and special Angel in life and will continue to watch over you from the other side.

Din, she will come galloping, jumping high over flowers in fields of gold to greet you and land in your arms with pure joy upon your arrival when that day comes for you to meet again ...

Thank you all for your kind and comforting words. I somehow know that Mimi is still around watching over us. Johnny, our 1 year old ginger bobcat now spends his time looking up and around the ceiling of our house as though looking at something..... I know its Mimi, I think all in the house knows she is still there
